Boulder Universal (BU) is an online school that does not have a designated attendance area within BVSD. Students interested in pursuing enrollment into Boulder Universal can do so through Open Enrollment (OE), Late Open Enrollment, or Administrative Transfer (AT).
Questions about the Open Enrollment (OE) process and Administrative Transfer (AT) process can be directed to the BVSD OE office by sending an email to email@example.com.
Additional enrollment support can be provided by the BU Registrar and/or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Factors To Consider...
Below are details of how the BU enrollment process tends to unfold in the course of a school year. These are important factors to consider for Boulder Universal enrollment:
The best way to ensure a spot at Boulder Universal is to fill out an Open Enrollment (OE) request during the OE window. View the OE process and online application link on the BVSD Open Enrollment Website. All other requests or methods are not guaranteed and are limited to space availability.
Changing BVSD schools, regardless if it is through Open Enrollment (OE) or Administrative Transfer (AT) is a permanent change in your student’s enrollment. The seat at the student's previous school is surrendered and a request to return to another BVSD school must go through the OE or AT process.
Counselors meet with every student prior to enrollment in order to help students understand what it is like to transition from brick and mortar to an asynchronous online learning environment/setting. Parents/guardians are allowed to late decline after this meeting in accordance with JECC-R Policy (JECC-R English, JECC-R Spanish)
Boulder Universal is NOT an alternative school. We have the same expectation, rigor, and graduation requirements as all BVSD schools.
High School students at BU can take FRCC course, but enrollment in AP classes are unlikely.
