BU Graduation is Here for Class of 2023!

It’s hard to believe that after 13 years in school, the time to celebrate is just around the corner.  After spending 13 years preparing to officially graduate, we want to ensure the day is special for all graduates and families.  Below you will find many details and logistical information to make our celebration go smoothly.

Cap and Gown Pick up - Cap and gown pick up will be at BU on one of the following dates. Seniors will need to complete this checklist in order to pick up their cap and gown.

• Thursday, May 18th from 1-3pm 
• Tuesday, May 23rd from 10am-12pm 

Wednesday May 24th - Graduation Day

• 11am - Noon - Rehearsal at Chautauqua Auditorium
• 4:30pm - 5:00pm - Graduate pictures taken by Hoffer Photography near Chautauqua Auditorium
• 5:00pm - 6:00pm - Graduation Ceremony

General Information - NO food or drink (except water) is allowed into the Auditorium.  Please see a list of FAQs regarding Chautauqua Auditorium.  Also, a bird’s eye map view is available.

Graduation Rehearsal - Rehearsal for graduates will be at 11am at the Chautauqua Auditorium.  Please do NOT be late.  We only have the facility for an hour.  If you are parking in the neighborhood, plan for a 10 minute walk to the auditorium.  

Parking - There is NO general parking near the auditorium.  From our experience street parking is often best on Baseline and the nearby neighborhood.  However, below are additional options that Chautauqua recommends as well.  Please plan accordingly as the ceremony will start promptly at 5pm.

• The tennis court lot on 12th street, closest to the Auditorium
• The main trailhead parking lot of Baseline Road
• On Clematis Drive, adjacent to the Dining or Chautauqua Park
• Baseline Road

Drop off area - Chautauqua personnel will allow cars to drop off attendees near the Chautauqua Dining Hall.  Drivers can then circle around The Green and park in the neighborhood.

Handicap Parking - There are limited handicap spots north of the Auditorium entrance that can be used with a handicap parking pass.

End of Ceremony - There is another graduation to follow BU’s.  Please clear the auditorium promptly after the ceremony.  Feel free to take pictures and gather with friends and families on the beautiful grounds away from the auditorium.

Climate Control - Spring weather on the Front Range is always a mystery.  Please dress appropriately, especially since the auditorium has no heat or air conditioning.

Photo/Video - Professional photographers will be at our ceremony.  Graduates will take individual pictures at 4:30 near the auditorium.  You are welcome to take pictures and videos during the ceremony.  We are working on potentially live streaming the ceremony.  More information to come regarding streaming.
